Evgenia Chaverdova  

Ms. Chaverdova, a native of Moscow, Russia, immigrated to the United States in 1995.  Having graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a BA in English, Evgenia is currently a junior voice major at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she is under the tutelage of César Ulloa.  Evgenia has attended the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program in Italy where she worked with Mr. Ferro and took part in the International Vocal Arts Institute in Montreal where she received a full scholarship. This summer, Evgenia will attend Joan Dornemann's program in Puerto Rico and anticipates singing Cherubino with the Bay Area Summer Opera Theatre Institute. As a member of the San Francisco Opera Theater, Evgenia has performed the role of Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Enfant in L'Enfant et les Sortileges and in the spring of 2008 will sing the role of Climene in Cavalli's L'Egisto. She has also performed as part of the Public Radio's Young Artist Spotlight and at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford University in England. A winner of numerous competitions, Evgenia has worked with such distinguished conductors as Placido Domingo, Eugene Kohn, Valery Ryvkin, Daniel Lipton, Robert Ashens, Jerome Shannon and Garold Whisler.  Ms. Chaverdova is fluent in French, Russian and English and is a certified ballroom dance instructor through the National Dance Council of America.
