Julia Ebner  

Upcoming, young soprano, Julia Ebner has worked with opera companies including Syracuse Opera, Tri-Cities Opera and Oswego Opera.  She has also performed with The International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy.  Her roles include Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Micaela in Carmen, Juliette in Romeo et Juliette, Hanna in The Merry Widow, Pamina in Die Zauberflote, Musetta in La Boheme, Marguerite in Faust, Poppea in L'incoronazione di Poppea, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, Princess Ida in Princess Ida, Gianetta in The Gondoliers, and Serpina in La serva padrona.  Also an active concert soloist, Ms. Ebner has performed in Haydn's "Last Seven Words of Christ," Mozart's "Requiem," Handel's "Messiah," Haydn's "Missa Brevis in F," Mozart's "Missa Brevis in F,"  "Vesperae Solennes de Confessore," Orff's "Carmina Burana," and Bach's "Magnificat," with orchestras in Syracuse, Amsterdam, DeWitt and Binghamton, New York.   A native of Central New York, she is a recent graduate with a Masters in Music in Opera from Binghamton University and a Bachelors in Music from Syracuse University where she graduated Summa cum Laude. Ms. Ebner is a recent recipient of the Richard F. Gold Career Grant and the winner of the Civic Morning Musical Vocalist Competition.  Her upcoming engagements include the Monica in The Medium at Syracuse Opera, Annina in La Traviata, and Rose in Lakme with Florida Grand Opera, where she will be a 2008-2009 Young Artists.
