Rachel Rose Farber  

Rachel Rose Farber, coloratura soprano, will be graduating from SUNY Purchase, Conservatory of Music, with a Bachelor's in Music, voice performance, this May.  Her past roles at Purchase have included Amore in L'incoronazione di Poppea and Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors.  She is greatly looking forward to the New York premiere of Lee Hoiby's The Tempest, with Purchase Opera, portraying the role of Ariel, this April.  Past roles with the Youth Opera Company of South Jersey have included: Monica in The Medium, Yum-Yum in The Mikado, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, and The Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute.  She is the 2nd place winner of the Palm Beach Atlantic National Vocal Competition, and a scholarship recipient of Emily Grant.  She participated in The Neil Semer Summer Vocal Institute, in Coesfeld, Germany this summer.  Rachel Rose also has a great love for the violin, and has been playing for 18 years.
